Tell me about the course...

Now you know all the basics of improvisation, we'll show you how to refine and develop you skills beyond simple game play allowing you to add to the texture of your scene work.

We'll be looking at:

  • Body language and status - what signals are we giving off in social interactions and how do they relate to character work?
  • How we can create instant characters
  • Building an environment for our characters to inhabit
  • How emotions can drive a scene
  • Going beyond individual scenes to create a simple story structure.

We'll also continue to develop spontaneity and creativity, as well as remove the habits that can limit success in impro.

Who are our teachers?

There will be TWO tutors - both regular performers, and both experienced teachers who are used to teaching everyone from students at drama school, to trainee GPs to computer programmers. Our tutors are experts in providing a safe and relaxed atmosphere in which to learn, experiment and have fun.
